A man is spending four days locked in a hotel room, listening to nothing but Rick Astley’s ‘Never Gonna Give You Up’.
Jack White, 23, will listen to the 80s hit 2,500 times on repeat, having started today at midday.
And it’s all on YouTube, live.
You can watch the live stream here:
He has taken on the charity challenge in support of his nephew, who has type 1 diabetes, and he is not allowed to speak or hum throughout the challenge.
He will also be living off a diet of only porridge, rice and water.
The Rick Astley song was selected via an online poll of the “three most annoying songs in the world”.
White hopes to raise £2,000 at the Highfield House hotel in Southampton for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation:
I've worked really closely with a psychotherapist who donated her time and it has helped me to know how to be still, because I don't know how to do that - I'm always doing something and always talking.
Rick Astley is probably not going to be my best friend by Monday afternoon.
