There are reports that two Labour MPs in the north-west this week raised doubts over Ed Miliband's leadership of the party to Parliamentary Labour Party (PLP) chairman Dave Watts.
Miliband, speaking on a visit to Northamptonshire, attempted to clear up the issue by saying:
This is nonsense, I don't accept that this matter arises. I believe that what the party wants to focus on is the country.
Um, right.
This week a poll of polls put Labour at its lowest rating since the general election, making a hung parliament increasingly likely.
