This couple built a giant bed so they can sleep with their eight dogs

Chris and Mariesa Hughes run The Mr Mo Project, which is a dog rescue that seeks foster homes for sick and senior animals.

As a result, they have eight dogs of their own, all of whom like to sleep on their bed.

Which is where the problems getting a good night's sleep began.

They contacted a local craftsmen, called Michael, who built them a huge bed to fit all eight dogs on.

Suffice to say, it's pretty impressive - the bed holds two mattresses.

It also has some neat under-bed storing systems and some stairs for the more hard-of-climbing canines.

We are sleeping very well. Each one of the dogs has his or her spot and it makes it easy now.

They love it, they love the space. While they always want to be as close to us and each other as they can, they respect our space now and we’re all able to get a good night’s sleep.
