Following the death of Jo Cox, these messages to her will remind you there still is love in the world

Labour MP Jo Cox has died after she was shot and stabbed outside a library in her West Yorkshire constituency.

While the exact motives of her attacker are unknown, eyewitnesses reported hearing the man shout "Britain First". This claim is currently unconfirmed by police.

Her husband Brendan released a statement in which he praised her "zest for life" and promised to "love and nurture our kids and to fight against the hate that killed Jo".

Following the news, campaign group Avaaz set up a page called "Show Jo love wins".

The page says:

Hate is so close to us, the only way to keep it at bay is with love. Let's send love to Jo, and to each other.

Since being posted, the page has been inundated with messages of love from across the world:
