Earlier this month we brought you a table showing the leading cause of death among people in England for the most recent year official data was available for.
That chart showed that heart & circulatory disorders, and cancer, were by far and away the two biggest causes of death, with respiratory disorders back in third.
But the UK actually has one of the worst records in Europe on fatal respiratory diseases, as this chart from Statista reveals.
Using official EU data, you can see how heart disease is the biggest killer in countries such as Lithuania and Latvia, while it is less of a health issue in France and Spain.
