The top three safest global cities in the world are all found in Asia, according to a new report from the Economist.
As part of its Safe Cities Index 2015, the newspaper analysed safety in 50 cities using both qualitiative and quantitative data.
Each city was assessed on digital security, health security, infrastructure safety, and personal safety and then given a score out of 100.
As this chart from Statista shows, Tokyo was found to be the safest major city in the world while London was down in 18th place.
