Of 171 countries, the UK ranks 131st for likelihood of a natural disaster affecting the country, according to a worldwide index analysing risk.
The WorldRiskReport, created by the United Nations University's Institute for Environment and Human Security shows not only the global hotspots for a high disaster risk, but the preparedness of a country towards preventing a natural event from becoming a disaster.
As a result, developing countries were often found to be more vulnerable, and therefore more at risk, than developed countries with the same exposure.
The countries that dominated the top 10 were predominately found in Oceania.
Meanwhile Qatar was found to be the least at-risk country in the world by the index.
