The terror attacks upon Paris on Friday claimed 129 lives and left hundreds more wounded.
Despite a state of emergency being declared by French president Francois Hollande, Parisians are still gathering to pay their respects to the victims, and show defiance to the perpetrators.
But Paris is understandably on edge, and rumours of gunshots being fired while people gathered in the Place de la Republique - a focal point of the city as seen in the aftermath of the Charlie Hebdo attacks - sparked scenes of panic.
A Channel 4 News team led by Matt Frei was broadcasting live from the square on Sunday evening as incorrect reports of gunfire saw people flee from the scene.

Frei and his crew have been praised online for their calm reporting.
Despite the scenes of panic, the all-clear was later given and a false alarm confirmed.
