A teacher in Dallas Texas is fighting to keep her position after it was revealed that she worked in porn almost 20 years ago.

Resa Woodward, who used to teach science at the all-girls academy, was put on administrative leave after her past in adult film became public, The Dallas Morning News reported.

An anonymous was sent to the school district in March 2016, claiming that the teacher used to work in the industry and starred in 16 adult films under the pseudonym Robyn Forster.

Robyn Forster was active in the industry from 2001 and 2004.

At first, Woodward denied the claims.

Records obtained by Dallas Morning News confirmed that Kate Gorman Bauer, the district’s director of Professional Standards, found a number of videos and images featuring Woodward who subsequently admitted that it was her.

The person who alerted the district was “concerned because he/she did not want his/her child exposed to things like this”.

An internal review cleared her of any policy violation, and at the end of March Bauer confirmed that “Woodward’s past participation in pornography does not in itself constitute a policy violation”.

She continued to teach.

However, an incident with a drunk driver, which she posted on her Facebook account, has reignited the issue.

Woodward is a State membership coordinator for the Libertarian Party of Texas, and a man claiming to be connected to the party from another State became “upset” with her post, and revealed her past on social media.

She informed Dallas school officials. Woodward claims that they are attempting to terminate her contract because the information became public knowledge.

She claims that her past in porn was "not of her own choosing," and had been facilitated by an older man she lived with, due to financial difficulties.

I’ve been trying to live my life as far away as possible from this stuff for a long time.

The case is ongoing.
