Republican congressman Steve King, who has a long history of making white supremacist comments, has posted a disturbing violent meme on Facebook.
The republican lawmaker, who was stripped of his House committee assignments this year for touting white nationalist rhetoric, shared a meme which seemed to encourage “another civil war”.
The war would be between red and blue states, based on their voting records in recent presidential election.
The accompanying text reads:
One side has about 8 trillion bullets, while the other side doesn’t know which bathroom to use.
King added:
Wonder who would win...
Twitter users condemned King for sharing the meme, particularly seeing as the state he represents, Iowa, is on the losing side.
