Video of shelter dog reacting to being adopted is 12 seconds of pure joy

If you love animals as much as we do, prepare to swoon. Video of an adorable dog’s adoption has gone viral, after an animal shelter posted it on Twitter.

Shared on by Animals and Humor, the 12 second video was taken by the Assisting the Hoke Co. Animal Shelter in Raeford, NC.

“Are you getting adopted?” the shelter’s staff asks the dog, before he offers them its paw to shake and excessively licks the receptionist’s hand. Judging from wide, dopey grin on its face, it’s apparent the dog is excited to be taken to its forever home.

In addition to its newfound Twitter fame, the video also received immense popularity on Reddit after the clip was shared by user Thund3rbolt. The video has already garnered 1 million views.
