Martin Shkreli’s attempts at procuring a date for Donald Trump’s inauguration ceremony went about as well as you’d expect.
The former pharmaceutical CEO is well-known for hiking up the price of a life-saving drug used by pregnant women and people with HIV, from $13.50 to $750.
Shkreli continued - in what he later called a “joke”- by asking a number of female editors and journalists to the ill-fated inauguration ceremony.
However, one particular response, to Teen Vogue writer Lauren Duca’s initial tweet has gained attention.
In a bizarre move, Twitter user Alan John decided to take the opportunity to critique feminism.
Clearly, Shkreli isn’t getting any dates because of it.
Cats. Pizza. Wine.
Hang on a minute, those are good things.
Feminists liked John's definition...
And showed themselves in action...wine and all
Others pointed out the dark path, one bottle of Chianti at a time...
Seriously. Feminism is bad. Look at all the pizza.
Others were debating potential business ventures...
John seems to think Lauren Duca is on the path to the dark side
It's okay though Lauren. We have pizza, alcohol and a fuzzy animal of your choice.
The sentiment seems to be quite clear:
