Sex is good, and if good for you.
Finally scientists are being good guys - instead of making us feel guilty about the planet and smoking and whether or not Florey did more for penicillin than Fleming.
Scientists at Oregon State University have found more reasons for you to have sex: it will, apparently, improve your job satisfaction.
As well as the obvious things like stopping you from being a frustrated, pent up ball of rage, having sex at home has been found to better your chances of success in the office.
In a study of 159 married couples, researchers checked twice a day for two weeks on the mood of the participants.
To the surprise of few, they found that couples who had sex the day before, experienced a 'morning positive effect'.
However, it should be noted that this test could reveal the reverse - that happier and more successful people are then in a mood to go home and have sex.
Keith Leavitt, an associate professor at OSU, and the lead author of the study said:
This is a reminder that sex has social, emotional and physiological benefits, and it’s important to make it a priority...
Just make time for it.
You heard the professor.
