Kim Cattrall responds to Sarah Jessica Parker's comments with a scathing comeback

It seems that former Sex and the City stars Sarah Jessica Parker and Kim Cattrall are still not on the best of terms.

Kim, who played Samantha in the hit TV show and subsequent movies, claimed during an interview with Piers Morgan in late 2017 that she and Sarah Jessica had never been friends, just colleagues.

In response to that; an upset Sarah Jessica told Andy Cohen that she was "just heartbroken" by the comments and that she hoped what they had achieved together as actors "eclipses anything that's been recently spoken".

Sarah Jessica was probably hoping that her olive branch would quell the negativity, but it seems that peace offering has been batted away.

In an Instagram post, Kim wrote:

I don't need your love or support at this tragic time @sarahjessicaparker.

Kim's brother, Chris Cattrall, sadly passed away on February 4.

Sarah Jessica extended her condolences to Kim by commenting on an Instagram post:

Dearest Kim, my love and condolences to you and yours and Godspeed to your beloved brother. Xx.

In the caption to her response, Kim says Sarah Jessica's "continuous reaching out is a painful reminder of how cruel you really were then and now."

She goes on to add that she is not her "family" or her "friend" and claims that Sarah Jessica is:

exploiting our tragedy in order to restore your 'nice girl' persona.

Kim concludes the post by including a link to a New York Post article titled: "Inside the mean-girls culture that destroyed 'Sex and the City'"

The article claims that Sarah Jessica had blamed Kim's "demands" as the reason why a third Sex and the City film was never made.

At the time of writing the Instagram post has been liked over 5000 times with many users writing their support for Kim and applauding her for speaking out.
