If there's one thing the EU referendum has done it is to shine a bright, blinding light on the utter chaos that is British politics.
Mere days before the EU referendum, Brexit campaigner and Conservative MP Michael Gove was accused of “proper Trump politics” by Faisal Islam on Sky News after he made the following statement:
People in this country have had enough of experts.
Right then.
Gove attempted to do away with concerns from economists, financial experts, academics and his own colleagues about the ramifications of a Brexit, as he appeared to be speaking on behalf of the Britishpublic.
However, a post-Brexit country is a whole new kettle of fish, apparently.
Gove's wife, Daily Mail columnist Sarah Vine, made the following impassioned plea on Facebook:
Wouldn’t it be nice if instead of wingeing and raging about the outcome of a democratic vote which, let’s face it, one side held all the cards and still managed to lose, the clever people of Facebook would turn their thoughts to making this a positive moment for the country by offering to lend advice and expertise.
But her husband said...wait... what...?
Picture: GiphyTwitter was quick to pick up on the irony:
Talk about awkward. indy100 has contacted Vine for comment.
