Brexiteer Darren Grimes tries to blame Sadiq Kahn for a crime and everyone made the same Batman joke

Brexiteer Darren Grimes is well known for making outlandish statements on Twitter, but he may have succeeded even himself on this occasion.

In a tweet on Sunday evening, Grimes claimed that 'some bloke on a bike had just tried to take his bag in London' and then proceeded to blame mayor Sadiq Kahn for the incident, as he was too preoccupied with 'virtue signaling over Donald Trump and Brexit' to actually manage crime in the capital.

The sympathy that Grimes probably hoped his tweet would generate was not forthcoming as many people soon questioned why he thought Kahn should have been the sole person to stop the crime and act like some sort of vigilante superhero in a cape and cowl.

Others chose to point out just how ridiculous it was for Grimes to try and blame Kahn, ignoring many other factors that probably constituted the crime.
