It's a truth universally acknowledged - Deadpool despises Wolverine in the universe that is Marvel's X-Men.
The rivalry between the two characters has been a running theme in the Marvel comics. This rivalry is so strong, however, that it's actually spilled over into real life, and the two actors that play the characters, Hugh Jackman and Ryan Reynolds, have a history of friendly banter running between the two of them.
Earlier this month, Reynolds even went so far as to appear on the Ellen Show while promoting Once Upon A Deadpool to tell her that it's much more than just a rivalry between the two characters:
It's not REALLY a rivalry... it's war.
Wow. You'd better believe it - this stuff runs deep.
Anyway, the beef has been reignited this week, after Jackman took to Twitter to post a picture of a poster for Logan that he saw while visiting Mumbai, India.
Ryan Reynolds then got involved, tweeting:
It’d be cool if they made a new poster. For a new movie.
Jackman didn't take long to hit back:
This is like a tennis match:
We can't survive this banter!
But then, just to add the icing on the cake, Chris Evans aka Captain America got involved:
What! Obviously, at this point, fans were losing it.
