The first pictures and footage of the royal baby have been released, and people on social media are incredibly excited about it.
The Duke and Duchess have released the first glimpse of their son, who was born on Monday at 5:26am a healthy 7 pounds 3 oz, and is seventh in line to the throne.
Introducing the two-day-old child in St George's Hall at Windsor Castle, who was wrapped in a white shawl, Meghan said:
He has the sweetest temperament, he's really calm. He's been the dream.
As they both shared a laugh, Prince Harry added:
I don't know who he gets that from.
The couple also confirmed that they will introduce the Queen to her eighth grandchild later in the day. Talking about their first few days of parenthood, Meghan added:
It's magic, it's pretty amazing. I have the two best guys in the world so I'm really happy.
Prince Harry said:
It's great. Parenting is amazing.
It's only been two and a half days, three days, but we're just so thrilled to have our own little bundle of joy.
As soon as the pictures and footage were released, people on social media pretty much went into meltdown.
Many said that they thought that the child was incredibly 'cute'.
There were also the inevitable jokes.
And some guessed the infant's name.
But lots were simply extremely excited.
There is much speculation on what the Duke and Duchess of Sussex will call their firstborn son, whose name is yet to be announced. Alexander and Spencer are among the favourites for the infant with the bookies, closely followed by Arthur, reports the Telegraph.
