Rory Stewart's latest set of selfies with members of the public haven't exactly gone to plan

Rory Stewart, the Tory MP who became something of a cult hit during the Tory leadership contest, is back on social media and it's just as funny as ever.

Earlier this week he mocked one of Boris Johnson's many videos about Brexit by sharing the intro to Little Britainbut now he is still trying to get to grips with selfies.

If you remember during the leadership campaign, Stewart went viral for a 'selfie video' he posted where he wasn't actually holding the phone at all.

Thankfully he is now definitely holding the phone but judging by these snaps he has taken during a trip to Hartlepool he still needs to work on his smile.

No one is doubting that Stewart doesn't have range but he definitely doesn't look too pleased to see one or two of those folks in these pics.

Nevertheless, people have found the pics to be amusing in their own unique way and Rory and inadvertently seen himself go viral again.

This has us reminiscing about some of Stewart's other greatest hits on social media such as this selfie that he took at a debate in Brent.

And this video of him meeting three Irishmen on Brick Lane in East London, who were definitely not interested in politics.
