A cat with a facial condition is seeking adoption into a forever home after receiving “zero applications”.
Kaya the cat has a congenital facial abnormality making her look a bit different, but that doesn’t stop her from being “super affectionate and playful”.
Five and a half month old Kaya is being cared for by the charitable organisation The Ontario Rescue, based in Montclair, California.
In a post on the charity’s Facebook page, they described Kaya as “incredibly sweet” and revealed she was due to have an operation performed to make her eyes more comfortable.
They wrote: “Not only is she the cutest kitty ever but she’s incredibly sweet. Everyone that meets her falls in love with her.

“She has been through a lot in her short life but that hasn’t stopped her from being super affectionate and playful.”
They continued: “She is so deserving of a wonderful forever home. Kaya has received zero applications, we are hoping that her story will continue to be shared so she can find her forever home.”
Potential adopters were also informed that she gets along well with other cats as well as dogs, and has been “spayed, vaccinated, dewormed, microchipped, and tested negative for leukemia and FIV”.
The Ontario Rescue urged people to look past her imperfections and to give her the opportunity to enjoy a loving home.
Kaya seemed to be a hit online as the post has received over 17,000 interactions and has more than 8,500 comments.
One person commented: “She is beautiful just the way she is!”
Another said: “I can’t imagine anybody not wanting her. She’s such a beautiful kitty. And I would love her to pieces.”
Someone else wrote: “Omg she's adorable I want her.”
