Reporter asks man how he would spend his lottery winnings, instantly regrets it

Live television is always a risk, as this report on a powerball lottery proves.

Ophelia Young, a Fox 5 reporter in Las Vegas, was surprised by an interviewee's earnest response to a question regarding the lottery jackpot winnings in a live spot yesterday.

Young started a brief interview with the man by asking him his lucky numbers.

Young:

Do you know your chances of winning?

Man:

Slim to none.

Young:

Slim to none! You’re right! Let me tell you it’s one out of 292 million. What do you think about that?

Man:

I knew it.

Young:

You knew it? Your numbers are lucky though, am I right?

Man:

I hope so. I hope so.

Then came the pinnacle of the exchange, as Young asked:

Can I ask you, if you won all the money, what would you do with it?

Man:

Bunch of hookers and cocaine.

Young quickly ended the interview before the programme cut back to the studio, clearly surprised by the man's answer.

Oh ok. That’s not good, we were hoping for a different answer. That’s probably not the answer that we’re looking for. All right.
