The Queen owns a lot of land.
Her portfolio, including Regent Street, racecourses, posh hotels and castles, is enough to put any landlord to shame.
But just to bring it down a notch or two, she also kind of owns a McDonald's.
The Banbury Gateway Shopping Park in Oxford is on land that forms part of the Crown Estate. And this includes a McDonald's, which opened in 2015 along with the shopping centre itself.
So the Queen technically also owns a Ed’s Easy Diner and a Primark, too.
The Crown Estate is not technically the Queen’s personal property, but is owned by Sovereign in the right of the Crown, and its profit goes to the Treasury.
It was created by an Act of Parliament, and has property worth a total of £2.4 billion.
But we're pretty sure Her Majesty could still wangle some szechuan sauce if she really wanted to.
