What does a former prince have to do to get a little privacy?

Apparently moving to LA is not enough.

According to a source, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been forced to make multiple reports of drones flying over their Hollywood Hills home, amid concerns for their safety.

Speaking to The Daily Beast, a friend said the couple believe the drone incidents to be the work of press desperate to snatch photos of the pair and their young son, Archie.

But because they can’t be certain, they’re also having to treat the drones as a “terror threat,” the source added.

They see these drones coming in at them, and they guess that they are being operated by photographers, but they can’t just assume that. Meghan received racist death threats at the time of her wedding, so the terror threat is very real for them.

But, aside from that, imagine if you were in their shoes facing that, how that would feel? To have drones buzzing around 20 feet above your head when you are trying to play with your son?

The Daily Beast confirmed at least five drone incidents in May had been reported to the LAPD, including an incident when the Sussexes were “buzzed” by drones while playing with Archie by the pool in their rented home.

The couple's friend added that they are “real people” and not asking for “special treatment”.

It’s like people forget they are real people.

But this is a real family. They are not asking for any special treatment; they are just asking for the safety and security we all expect in our own homes to be respected.

What an ask!
