The Lean In Award is a daily honour handed out by Facebook SEO Sheryl Sandberg, as part of her non-profit dedicated to “empowering all women to achieve their ambitions”.

In October 2015, she gave the award to current Speaker of the House of Representatives, Paul Ryan.

Fast forward to January 2017, and one Tweet perfectly sums up why the decision to give Ryan that award, doesn't seem overly wise.

Ryan this week announced that the Republicans would strip all federal funding from Planned Parenthood, making it harder for American women to obtain birth control.

Nice corporate feminism you've got there.
