Lots of people are sharing incredibly funny videos of their parents falling off hoverboards

Hoverboards, self-balancing scooters, swegways. Whatever you want to call them, they were undoubtedly one of the most popular gifts at Christmas this year.

In the days following the annual holiday, parks, driveways and high streets across the land have been filled with children (as well as far too many adults) doing their best to ride them.

However, these hoverboards are not so easy to use, as dozens of videos of parents trying to ride the presents they bought for their children can attest.

Grown-ups should probably avoid them altogether to be honest

That includes mums

As well as dads

And, er, Santas

Riding them upside down in the vicinity of a Christmas tree is not a good idea
