Here's Barack Obama telling journalists America does not "yet" have a strategy for fighting Isis in Syria.
Asked about what steps he would take to deal with the threat from Isis in Syria in the wake of American air strikes against Isis fighters in Iraq earlier this month, Obama told reporters yesterday: "I don’t want to put the cart before the horse: we don’t have a strategy yet... I think what I’ve seen in some of the news reports suggest that folks are getting a little further ahead of what we’re at than what we currently are."
He did not rule out intervening in Syria but said defeating Isis had to involve other Sunni states in the Middle East. However, many people were far too distracted by the president's distinctive tan suit to take much notice.
Twitter basically lost its mind.
