This headline from the Motherwell Times has been causing some panic on social media.
Other than the obvious reasons for why there is not a zombie outbreak in Lanarkshire, the story is actually a promotion for a local theme park's zombie night.
It's about a research facility, the Ledbetter Research Facility, which does not exist. The article also asks for people who spot zombies to contact a number which, when googled, links to an amusement park in Motherwell named M&Ds.
Speaking to i100, a reporter from the Motherwell Times confirmed it was a promotion for the themepark and there would be a "reveal" article tomorrow . The reporter added one or two people had rung the office to check whether the outbreak was real.
