Ukip: remember them? Britain's biggest Eurosceptic party has now turned its eye to the upcoming in-or-out EU referendum.
Trouble is, the party is split down the middle. While its leader (some bloke called Nigel Farage) and one of its biggest donors, Arron Banks, are part of the Leave.eu campaign, the party's only MP, Douglas Carswell, is championing the Vote Leave cause.
Nevertheless, in a bid to get the campaign going at what the Newcastle Evening Chronicle described as a "not sold out" venue in Gateshead on Monday evening, Farage tried his best pantomime act - pointing at flags and getting the audience to boo/cheer as appropriate - and somehow managed to be less inspiring than June Sarpong.
This could be a long campaign.
