10pm: Breaking news – the ink of the last paranoid voter is still drying on the final voting slip and Nigel Farage concedes the result – saying it looks like “Remain will edge it”.

10.23pm: Sceptical Twitterati remain unconvinced

10.39pm: Early reports he has “unconceded”

11pm: Farage spokesman insists he actually “never conceded” in the first place

11.12pm: He reconcedes, telling PA he thinks it is Remain based on “what I know from some of my friends in the financial markets who have done some big polling”.
