Callista Gingrich, the wife of former Republican representative Newt Gingrich, shared a photo of the two of them to social media over the weekend – but people pointed out a weird editing mishap.

Callista’s forehead appeared to have been heavily edited – presumably to smooth out wrinkles. But there were a couple of other things which gave it away – including the loss of her eyebrows and the disappearance of her hairline.

The contrast was particularly obvious because she didn’t appear to edit Newt at all – not even a tiny bit.

People pointed out the mistake on social media.

Chrissy Teigen even stepped in.

Callista is currently the US ambassador to the Holy See, and married Newt in 2000.

Newt Gingrich is the former speaker for the United States House of Representatives, and has had a somewhat scandal plagued career – including the circumstances under which he met Callista.

This isn’t even the first time that Callista has been called out over her use of Facetune – which most people seem to object to because it just looks a little creepy.

And of course, the one that seemed to have started it all:

Given that she’s been using Facetune for a while now and still doesn’t seem to have gotten a more natural finish worked out, perhaps the unnatural smoothness is actually the point – and Callista’s just got a different idea of what she wants her photos to look like than the rest of us.
