The news of Naya Rivera’s death has sent shock waves around the world.
Her body was found after she disappeared on Wednesday from Lake Piru in Ventura County, California, while boating with her son, Josey.
Search and rescue teams spent six days looking for the young actor, but it wasn’t just the authorities doing all that they could to help out.

These stars, along with Chris Colfer – who played Kurt Hummel – were at the lake and decided to join hands with Naya’s close friends and family to pray for her safe return.

On Monday, Sheriff Bill Ayub confirmed that her body was found but authorities did not suspect foul play:
We know from speaking with her son that he and Naya swam in the lake together at some point during their journey. It was during that time that her son described being helped into the boat by Naya who boosted him onto the deck from behind.
He told investigators that he looked back and saw her disappear under the surface of the water.
It is not yet known when a funeral for the young star will be held.
