The most popular Christmas presents each year can serve as a time capsule for generations to come.

Here are this year’s most popular gifts, according to Royal Mail and charted by Statista:

Lego takes first place, followed by scooters, bikes, mobile phones and the Paw Patrol Air Patroller.

Nerf Guns are in at number six, with the Pie Face Showdown at seven.

The top ten were found by surveying children.

In their 'letters to Santa', Royal Mail also discovered some of the questions children have been asking Santa this year, which include:

How do you deliver all the presents in one night?
How many mince pies do you eat around the world?
How old are you?
Do you like being Santa?
