Actor Jim Carrey has once more charged into the political fray with another satirical cartoon, this time he's taking aim at Senator Ted Cruz.

Carrey tweeted a drawing of Beto O'Rourke pulling back a curtain having sunlight seemingly burn away his opponent - a 'vampire' - Ted Cruz. He paired it with the following caption:

Go Beto! Go Democrats! Vote like there’s no tomorrow. Let’s make this Tuesday like the end of every great vampire movie. Pull back the curtains and let the sunshine turn all those bloodsuckers to dust

While the likeness of O'Rourke is somewhat creepy, his depiction of Cruz as a blood-sucking parasite being destroyed by rays of, no doubt, Texas sunshine, weirdly looks quite good.

It is no doubt a diss for the ages, none more so aware of this than Cruz himself, who was so triggered and hurt by the drawing he couldn't help but take the bait and respond.

Uh huh.

The almost theatrical ongoing battle between O'Rourke and Cruz for the Texas Senator position has been going on for the better part of a year and it's been a blast to watch.

More importantly, if O'Rourke wins the vote in the midterms, he will be the first Democrat to fill a Texas Senate seat in 25 years.

Regardless, it doesn't matter how you vote in the midterms, we would just encourage you to vote and have your voice heard.
