Donald Trump has changed the way politicians use Twitter forever.

Instead of going through spokespeople or the press, we now seem to get unfiltered outbursts direct from the president-elect.

But he’s not the only one who can use the echo-chamber.

In the past few days, Trump had been talking about one of his most infamous plans – the proposed border wall with Mexico. This week he has said that it will be funded by US taxpayers, but he will claim that money back from Mexico.

However, former Mexican President Vicente Fox Quesada tweeted to say that isn’t going to happen.

TRUMP, when will you understand that I am not paying for that f*cken wall. Be clear with US tax payers. They will pay for it.

Savage.

Trump may ask whoever he wants, but still neither myself nor Mexico are going to pay for his racist monument. Another promise he can't keep.

Sr Trump, the intelligence report is devastating. Losing election by more than 3M votes and in addition this. Are you a legitimate president?

Fox was President of Mexico from 2000 to 2006. His words echo those of Current Mexican Foreign Secretary Claudia Ruiz Massieu, who commented in November:

We've been very clear that Mexico will never consider paying for a wall that puts barriers between our two countries.

More: A Mexican company just offered to build Trump's wall (to keep the Americans out?)

More: Mexico has built a wall, but definitely not the one Donald Trump hoped for
