Meet the man taking road bikes where road bikes really shouldn't go


Whether it's middle-aged men in lycra or the professional sport riddled with performance-enhancing drugs, the streamlined road bike has a bit of an image problem.

But thanks to Sam Pilgrim, a man who laughs in the face of those slowly riding up the side of a hill, road bikes suddenly look like the best thing ever.

Shot in California, the lycra-clad Pilgrim takes his bike through skateparks, backflips on steep dirt tracks and hurtles through sand dunes.
