Marjorie Taylor Greene has been banned from Twitter and people aren’t sympathetic

Marjorie Taylor Greene has been suspended from Twitter and this time it’s for good but people don’t exactly feel sorry for her.

The Republican Congresswoman has had one of her two accounts frozen for sharing misinformation about coronavirus, according to a Twitter spokesperson.

They told The Independent:

“We permanently suspended the account you referenced (@mtgreenee) for repeated violations of our COVID-19 misinformation policy. We’ve been clear that, per our strike system for this policy, we will permanently suspend accounts for repeated violations of the policy.”

It is not the first time the Georgia lawmaker has had her account frozen over posts about the pandemic and she was suspended twice in July and August, for pandemic related posts that violated the company’s misinformation policy.

Reacting to the news, people weren’t sympathetic:

And reacting to the news herself,Insider reports Taylor Greene posted the following statement to GETTR, a conservative social media platform launched by former Trump aide Jason Miller:

“When Maxine Waters can go to the streets and threaten violence on Twitter, Kamala and Ilhan can bail out rioters on Twitter, and Chief spokesman for terrorist IRGC can tweet mourning Soleimani but I get suspended for tweeting VAERS statistics, Twitter is an enemy to America and can’t handle the truth. That’s fine, I’ll show America we don’t need them and it’s time to defeat our enemies.”

In case anyone is worried about where her thoughts can be plonked in the future, the official representative account for Greene is still active on Twitter.

Oh dear. Indy100 has contacted Taylor Greene and Twitter to comment on this story.
