A man from Iran who has been living in Manchester was arrested after walking into a police station and asking to be deported, saying he had had enough of the city.
Greater Manchester Police tweeted about the incident, and said that the man requested to be taken home, after a decade of living in the city.
They described the man as a “very angry young man”, and said that the incident was “strange”.
The man was handed over to an immigration team, and has subsequently been released.
