Love Is Blind contestants break up after one discovers the other is 'cheating' via Reddit

Love may be blind but unfortunately, much of the general public is not.

Which is how one star of Netflix’s hit dating show, Love Is Blind, got caught cheating on fellow contestant LC.

Mark Cuevas, who shot to notoriety after his doomed stint on the show with partner Jessica Batten, was previously considered to be a good, if painfully earnest and unaware, guy.

His portrayal on the show was as a lovelorn and loyal suitor, who wanted nothing more than to settle down with Jessica.

Jessica, however, wanted nothing to do with Mark and eventually left him at the altar.

Now though, fans are reconsidering this state of affairs, after it was alleged Mark was cheating on fellow contestant LC, who he began dating this year.

The alleged situation came to light, bizarrely, via a Reddit post.

A Reddit user posted a comment on the platform’s Love Is Blind channel, writing “My close friend's co-worker is dating Mark!!”. Although the original comment is now deleted, underneath it a user claiming to be LC wrote:

This is awkward because I live in Atlanta and I’ve been dating mark since the beginning of May....🤔😤

Oh and btw, this is LC from Love is Blind. Feel free to DM me on Instagram if you would like more information! But I definitely just broke it off with mark so I really do appreciate you posting this and saving me the energy on dating another liar. 

Both Reddit and the original poster confirmed that it really was LC who left the comment.

LC also appeared on Love Is Blind but wasn’t picked in the first round, after going head to head with Amber Pike and Jessica for the attention of frat boy Barnett. But after finishing filming the show in 2018, she and Mark apparently rekindled their acquaintance this year.

In a statement to People, LC said that she and Mark had discussed becoming “exclusive” but that she’d jettisoned the idea after learning he was dating other people.

"Mark and I were casually dating, but talked about remaining exclusive, especially because of Covid-19, but that’s over now,” she said.

"The main thing I learned from the show and past relationships is that I deserve to be treated like a priority, and not an option”.

In response, Mark said they’d never been exclusive at all.

“I enjoyed spending time with LC for a few weeks, but at no point were we in an exclusive relationship, as LC confirmed herself," he said. "I wish her the absolute best”.

In another Reddit comment, responding to someone who questioned the decision to publicly post about their break up, LC called Mark a f**kboy.

“I didn’t post about it,” she wrote.

“Other people posted about it and tagged me. Plus, we chose to let our lives possibly be public when we signed up for the show. But also, I will actually never feel bad about exposing a whole f**kboy for who he is."

Maybe it’s time for another reunion show…?
