The wonderful thing about children is that they have no qualms in telling you exactly what they think. There's no fakery - they don't hide emotion or pretend to like someone they do not.
When nine-year-old Amariyanna Copeny met the Republican nominee Donald Trump on Thursday, she didn't hold back how she was feeling.
100% fear.
Copeny, who holds the title of Little Miss Flint, met Trump during his campaign stop in Michigan. A picture of the two, which has since gone viral, shows Trump (orange and grinning) next to a terrified Copeny.
Many were quick to ask the electorate to trust Little Miss Flint's instincts.
Before Trump arrived, Copeny's mother LuLu Brezzell told MLive.com: "Hillary's been here, we heard what she had to say. Now I want to hear what [Trump] has to say."
This isn't the first time Copeny has met an American politician. In May, she met President Barack Obama after writing to him about the work she has done to bring attention to the Flint water crisis. Twitter users were quick to point out that the nine-year-old was much happier to see Obama.
During the meet-and-greet Copeny ran towards the President, who scooped her up in a hug. The moment was so touching that it was created into a mural.
Maybe the kids - and bald eagles - are on to something.
