Led By Donkeys / Twitter
During Donald Trump's state visit to the United Kingdom, the anti-Brexit activists Led By Donkeys have used the opportunity to relentlessly troll the president, and we have to say it's brilliant.
In their latest stunt, they've projected a giant image of a USS John McCain cap onto the exterior of Madame Tussauds in London, in order to troll Donald Trump.
Speaking to the Independent, they said:
We read the story about the sailors on a US warship being ordered to hide from you because you’re triggered by the name on their hats.Â
So we turned Madame Tussaud's into a giant USS John McCain baseball cap. Welcome to London!
Taking to Twitter to share a photograph of the projection, they wrote:
Hey @realDonaldTrump, we read the story about the sailors on a US warship being ordered to hide from you because you’re triggered by the name on their hats. So we turned Madame Tussaud's into a giant USS John McCain baseball cap. Welcome to London!
The activists also projected Obama's UK approval ratings onto other London landmarks, tweeting a photograph with the caption:
Hi @realDonaldTrump Just so you know, you’re wildly unpopular here in Britain. SAD! People REALLY don’t like you (though they love @BarackObama). Hope you like seeing your FAILING approval numbers projected onto the Tower of London. #TrumpUKVisit
They also took aim at MP Boris Johnson by projecting his comments about Donald Trump onto Big Ben, sharing their handywork with a video:
Hey @realDonaldTrump, you just endorsed your Brexit buddy @BorisJohnson but he said some VERY NASTY things about you and he doesn’t want you to know. So we projected his words onto Big Ben. Watch with the SOUND ON #TrumpUKVisit
All in all, a good day's work, lads!
