Leap Day was actually invented by capitalism

Welcome to Leap Day, the most unnecessary day of the year.

Nobody wants an extra day in February, because February is the worst.

If you're born on 29 February you have to pick another day to be your birthday.

If you're a woman you are only allowed to dare propose to a man on this day, even though doing it on any other day of the year is also totally acceptable because we are living in 2020 with electricity and everything.

On top of that, there's good reason to believe that the entire day is a capitalist conspiracy for you to essentially work for free for a whole day.

That's right, because salaried workers, who earn a set amount every month or year regardless the hours they work, are expected to put in an extra day at for the same amount of money.

It's a ploy by the man to keep us down and the only way we can rebel is to quit or something...

On top of this, your friendly High Street bank doesn't actually have to count 29 February when working out customer interest... ergo, they are keeping your money for profit.

In sum, cancel 29 February.
