Women are championing Lady Gaga for posting completely nude photos on Instagram

Lady Gaga took to Instagram to bear her er entire body (and soul) in new nude pictures.

The photographs, taken by Eli Russell Linnetz, the photographer behind much of Kim Kardashian’s shots, show her in various, increasing states of undress.

The first two photographs show her completely naked, save for a slip of stockings she’s pulling up one leg.

In a second photo, she’s leaning against a cream-coloured wall wearing see-through white stockings and a matching bra.

It’s been ten whole years since the singer released her first track, the gyrating, instantly memorable 'Poker Face', and she seems to have celebrated with pixelated nudes.

The 32-year-old has made no secret of her struggles with bulimia and anorexia. In a 2012 Instagram post, she admitted she struggled with the eating disorder and invited fans to join her in a ‘body revolution’ to show the world what their bodies really looked like.

In 2017, during her Super Bowl half time performance, her body was the target of bullies, and she responded to people shaming with another Instagram post that read:

I heard my body was a topic of conversation so I wanted to say, I’m proud of my body and you should be proud of yours too. No matter who you are or what you do.

Her most recent Instagram post has left an impression.

‘Omgggg queen,' one Instagram user wrote.

Another added:

You have confidence girl! So what ya want and make that money.

One follower wrote simply 'beautiful'. Another gushed:

I wish I could be as beautiful as you, at least half beautiful as you are QUEEN.

Others are pointing critics to the door

But mostly, people are celebrating her iconic status.
