This totally unhinged moment from the Republican convention has become an instant meme

Kimberly Guilfoyle probably had no idea she’d become a new meme when she screamed at the end of her Republican National Convention speech on Monday evening:

The best is yet to come!

But the internet had other ideas.

During her speech, Guilfoyle – who is the girlfriend of Donald Trump Jr – decried the “socialist agenda” of the Democrats, as well as called out California as the “land of discarded needles in parks” and bizarrely discussed “Human Sex Drug Traffickers”.

She also gave a little pep talk when she yelled into the void:

You are CAPABLE, you are QUALIFIED, you are POWERFUL, AND YOU HAVE THE ABILITY TO CHOOSE YOUR LIFE AND DETERMINE YOUR DESTINY.

But it was the moment when she yelled the last line of her speech and held her hands triumphantly in the air that really captured everyone’s attention.

And oh did they get imaginative...

There were countless references to Mighty Morphin Power Rangers’ infamous villain, Rita Repulsa:

Or The Little Mermaid’s Ursula:

Even Sesame Street’s Elmo:

And then people brought out their best photoshop skills:

Or this genuinely chilling (and almost believable?) reference to the horror movie franchise, The Purge:

Other speakers on the night included Charlie Kirk, Nikki Hayley and Tim Scott, as well as Donald Trump Jr, who tried to compare Joe Biden to the Loch Ness Monster:

Joe Biden is basically the Loch Ness monster of the swamp. For the past half-century, he’s been lurking around in there.

He sticks his head up every now and then to run for president, then he disappears and doesn’t do much in between.

Trump Jr also claimed his father represents "a bright and beautiful future", which many weren’t too sure about.
