Mother’s Day inevitably leads to a slew of Instagram and Twitter posts of people’s mothers when they were younger, usually wearing far more fashionable clothes (and inevitably looking far less stressed).
Celebrities aren’t immune either. Kim Kardashian posted a photo of her mother (and manager) Kris Jenner on Twitter and Instagram. The picture shows Jenner in a bikini, and Kardashian saw fit to point out that this photo was taken after Kris had already had four children. She called it "major goals".

But other people pointed out that it was one comment among many, and suggested people were making a big deal out of something relatively innocent.

On Instagram, Kim also posted a video of her gift to her mom – she bought the camera from her parents’ wedding photographer, Alfred Garcia, and developed the photos to present in a wedding album to her mother as a surprise.
