Kim Kardashian’s latest holiday photos have been mocked on Twitter after she helped her sister Kourtney find a lost earring “in the ocean”.

The images were reportedly from the pair’s vacation to the Turks and Caicos Islands, situated near the Bahamas.

However, people were quick to mock the post on social media, with Twitter users referencing a 2011 meme from Kim's holiday in Bora Bora with the family.

Filmed as part of Keeping Up With The Kardashians, Kim experienced her own unfortunate encounter with earrings and the ocean, after she was thrown into the sea as a joke by former partner Kris Humphries.

After putting her head back above water, she touched her ear to find she her $75,000 earring had gone missing.

In the viral video, an emotional Kim is seen saying: “My earring’s gone! F**k! Oh my God, I’m gonna cry, my diamond earrings!”

While the earring was later found by half-sister Kylie, Kourtney told the model, “Kim, there’s people that are dying.”

After Kim revealed that Kourtney had now lost one of her earrings while on vacation, fans were quick to revive the famous line:

While many saw the funny side of Kim's post, others branded the tweet as "cringey", asking if the reality stars "feel bad" for sharing holiday images when the majority of people are staying at home:

Meanwhile, some users noticed that the reality TV star had reposted the images, with the initial caption – which has since been deleted - reading “somehow in this crazy life we found each other”.

The earlier version was also mocked by followers, with one reminding Kim that “you literally grew up in the same house”.

It is not yet known whether Kourtney was able to retrieve her earring.
