Kim Kardashian-West has come under fire for appearing to use coronavirus to sell products from her own clothing brand, SKIMS.

The 39-year-old reality TV star headed over to social media on Monday to share her plan to donate money to a reflief fund set up by Baby2Baby, a nonprofit which provides essential necessities to children living in poverty in the Los Angeles area (where Kardashian lives in an eight-bedroom, 10-bathroom mansion).

But it wasn’t why she was donating the money that caused the uproar, it was how:

And on Twitter too:

Basically, customers have to spend their money on Kim’s products and then she’ll donate part of that to an emergency response programme.

People began calling the TV star out and asking why she couldn’t just donate money from her estimated net worth of $350m.

As Kourtney Kardashian once famously said:

Kim, there’s people that are dying.

The backlash comes about after Taylor Swift reignited her longstanding feud with Kim and Kanye West over a leaked phone call.

A newly released 25-minute video confirms Taylor never heard or approved Kanye telling her he was going to include the line “I made that bitch famous” in his forthcoming song “Famous”.

This is despite Kim posting three minutes of the video in 2016 on social media that made it appear she had heard the line.

As a result, the hashtag #KimKardashianIsOverParty started trending worldwide.
