Some time on Friday morning, the social media team at KFC decided it would be a good idea to send out a new advert for its chicken.
The very suggestive ad featured a woman thrusting her hand towards a man's pixelated lap and was accompanied by the hashtag #NSFW. This was not a good idea.

After facing a backlash on Twitter, the fast food chain's Australian subsidiary quickly deleted the tweet and issued an apology, admitting that it had made an "error in judgment":
