10 moments from Keeping Up with the Kardashians that changed the internet forever

Keeping Up With The Kardashians is finishing up and it truly feels like the end of an era.

Kim Kardashian announced the news on Tuesday evening via Twitter in a lengthy post – thanking everyone who’s been involved and confirming the last season will air “early next year”:

Debuting on 14 October 2007, the reality TV show has given us 256 episodes (261 if you include the specials) across 20 seasons and even more iconic moments.

So, in no particular order, we’re recapping some of the best moments that changed the internet forever.

1. ‘Don’t be f***ing rude!’

When Kim bought herself a Bentley, her sisters Khloe and Kourtney were beyond jealous.

Cue them talking about it behind her back and Kim secretly listening behind a door.

The next thing we see is Kim walking into the room where the girls (and their brother, Rob) were eating food and Kim slammed her handbag into Khloe and says:

Don’t be f***ing rude!

The moment’s an undeniably quotable scene in the show’s history, with even The Jonas Brothers (not to mention thousands on TikTok) recreating it over the years.

Also in this scene, Khloe later remarked:

She’s crying! Do you hear her crying? I don’t give a f***.

2. ‘Is that a chicken?!’

Kris surprised Kylie with a new pet and after she called her to the foyer over her house’s PA system (iconic), her daughter walked in wearing her pyjamas.

She saw an animal wrapped up in a blanket and in her mother’s arms and then remarked:

Is that a chicken?!

Spoiler alert: It was not a chicken. It was a baby pig.

3. ‘Kim, there’s people that are dying’

When the family go on holiday to Bora Bora, Kim dived into the ocean for a little swim while wearing a pair of $75,000 earrings.

Unfortunately, she loses one of the earrings in the water and is absolutely distraught over it.

When Kim is frantically running around and crying over the lost earring, Kourtney screamed out:

What’s wrong?

Kim responded:

My diamond earring came off in the ocean. My diamond earring is gone!

Without skipping a beat and trying to bring her sister back down to reality, Kourtney responded:

Kim, there’s people that are dying!

4. ‘You’re cute jeans’

Who knew a completely unremarkable conversation about jeans would make such a lasting impact on the internet?

In one episode, Kendall Jenner and Kris are having a, er, loving mother-daughter bonding session.

Kris remarked:

Those are cute jeans.

Kendall responded:

You’re cute jeans.

What followed was one of the most painful exchanges between the two, but oddly hilarious at the same time:

5. ‘You’re doing amazing, sweetie’

During the very first season of KUWTK, Kim decided to do a nude photoshoot with Playboy magazine and her momager Kris came along to watch.

And during the shoot, Kris was taking photos of Kim and remarked:

You’re doing amazing, sweetie.

She brought that same energy to Ariana Grande’s music video for ‘thank u, next’ when she appeared as Regina George’s mum in the audience to her daughter’s talent show.

6. ‘Kim, will you stop taking pictures of yourself? Your sister is going to jail’

In 2007, Khloe was arrested for driving under the influence and on 18 July 2008, she reported to jail to serve time for violation of probation.

But in the car ride to the jail, the family got together to see Khloe off… and Kim was documenting it all by taking photos.

And then in one moment, Kris turned to her daughter and said:

Kim, will you stop taking pictures of yourself? Your sister is going to jail.

(Khloe ended up serving three hours of her 30 day prison sentence.)

7. ‘Maybe if you had a f***ing business that you cared about’

In an argument while trying to organise the family’s 2017 Christmas card photoshoot, Kourtney called out Kim out for organising the shoot around her schedule.

And Kim was having absolutely none of it:

8. ‘It’s Todd Kraines!’

Scott Disick’s prank phone calls to Kris Jenner while pretending to be her family friend, Todd Kraines, are absolutely hilarious.

On one occasion, Disick called up the restaurant Kris was eating at and asked to speak to his mother-in-law.

When she picked up the phone, Disick put on a voice as Todd Kraines and no one could stop laughing.

And it's not the only prank call he's made pretending to be the family friend:

9. ‘I think you should experience things’

How many times can one person say the words “experience things” in one breath?

Well, Kendall sure gave it a red hot go in this conversation with her sister Kylie:

10. ‘I will literally f*** you up’

In season 18, things escalated quickly when Kim and Kourtney got into a physical fight.

The sisters kick, slap and punch each other in what became one of the most explosive fights across all seasons of the show.
