Kay Burley interviewed a dog with sadness in its eyes

Kay Burley has enriched her dog whisperer credentials by interviewing a dog live on Sky News.

Callie the spaniel was in the studio with her handler Alun Jenkins for a segment on police dog training following Russia's donation of a German shepherd puppy to France as a gift to replace Diesel, who died during the Paris attacks.

There was, of course, only one question on everyone's mind: would Callie the spaniel also have sadness in her eyes, like the police dog Burley saw in Paris a few weeks ago who spawned one of the best memes of the year?

Callie did not disappoint.
