Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has been attending the Pride Festivities in Toronto, and winning hearts while doing it.
The leader, nearly halfway through his term as Prime Minister, has maintained a higher than usual popularity rating than other premiers, both at home and overseas, despite a slight tumble since last summer.
In the past Trudeau has been accused by the opposition of doing 'push ups for the cameras' and being too media focused.
Nevertheless, at times where visuals of solidarity with minorities matter, such as Pride Week, we will let him off.
At the Pride festivities that took place last weekend, the premier was photographed greeting attendees enthusiastically.
The socks indeed were rainbow patterned, the colours are used by Pride, but the socks also had the words 'Eid Mubarak' stitched into them.
This was in honour of the festival Eid al-Fitr, when Muslims who have been fasting as they observe Ramadan break the fast and feast.

The Prime Minister also had his face painted with a rainbow maple leaf, the symbol of Canada.
Perhaps best of all was his reaction to the rainbow patterned turban worn by Jiwanjot S. Gill, a public school teacher:

On Saturday, Trudeau gave this statement of support for pride to the media.
Truly, living his best life.
